	6-15-2010 Serving the Culture of Life! We have a momma duck on site, sitting on her nest right in the middle of all the action.  The contractor promised to stake the area so they don’t accidentally “smoosh” her and her preborn family.
	6-15-2010 The weather held out just long enough to get things moving.
	6-8-2010 The preload area will be compacted into place and left for about 3 months. So, if it looks like we're stalled after all this action - au contraire! The ground about 12' below ground elevation is compacting ever so slowly to prepare for when we place our footings.
	6-8-2010 Earth Movers Arrive! Get ready for earth to move - this first phase is called "preloading." The preload area will be a mound of dirt 8' taller than the existing elevation.

Partnered with Hurfurd Architects, the McGivney Building & Design Committee has been working on designing the perfect Catholic high school facility for over two years. Technology, sustainability, safety, and aesthetics are only a few of the many topics that have been addressed by the plans for Father McGivney Catholic High School.

The scope of Phase I of the building construction will be determined by the generosity of our community. Depending on the financial strength of McGivney as this project nears the deadline for going out to bid (Summer 2010), the high school will be built based on a phased master plan that accommodates expansion as enrollment grows.
