Chaired by Greg Patton -- retired high school principal, athletic director, and coach -- the Athletics Recommendation Committee will research and report to the McGivney Board on 7 criteria -- suggested sports offerings, facility and field options, outdoor field layouts, athletic conference membership, sports scheduling opportunities, timeline for hiring an athletic director and coaches, and booster club organization. Based on the recommendations of this committee, an actual Athletics Committee will be formed this Spring to execute the plan and begin the search for an Athletic Director.

Extracurricular activities will be an important and essential part of McGivney students' high school experience. For every interest where there are 3-4 students and a faculty sponsor, a club can be formed. A Fine Arts Committee will be researching music and theater opportunities a year before Father McGivney Catholic High School's opening date.
